Date: Mon, 7 Jan 2008 20:06:03 -0500 Hi Lorraine, How are you? Are you enjoying this unseasonable warm weather? I think of you and Bob all the time. Little Speck has turned out to be the best lesson horse for beginners. He’s kind of crabby on the crossties but I know it’s all just smoke. He loves us as much as we love him. He is so gentle with the little kids (once they are on top of him). We are so happy with him! Sierra G. took her horse, Rodney, to her house in Friendsville, PA last June. He is the best horse ever! I told them that if they ever need to sell him, they had better ask us first! What a gentle, sweet soul he is. He shares his pasture with three little donkeys. He’s doing great! Happy New Year!

Good Morning, 1/10/08

I was just skimming over your site and am sorry to hear someone is defaming you on the internet. I wanted you to know how happy I am with the mare I purchased from you. As a horses true personality is not revealed to us until they are comfortable enough to show it, and our own personal horsemanship skills ( ground and riding) as well as nutritional factors have everything to do with a horses attitude, I would hope people would look to themselves for some answers as to why their horse is presenting a certain behavior.

Do you remember when I came to look at my mare? When I asked her to back up she pinned her ears back and offered to rear? I remember both my husband and Bob getting a little nervous about that. Well of course, I felt that I just wasn't communicating with her in a way she was comfortable with, she didn't trust me...   It has been 16 months now. We play pony soccer, trail ride and just hang out together on the ground. We took the time it takes get to know each other. If someone wishes for something they can jump on, kick and ride -a dirt bike is the perfect toy. Someone looking for a companion who has a mind of their own, can participate in and contribute to activities and return affection may be ready for a horse. It's not just a ride, it's a relationship.

I wish you a healthy and happy New Year.

Dear Robert & Lorraine,

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you both how well Tumbleweed continues to do here with our family.  Tumbleweed is very happy here and you can tell he truly loves being part of our family.  Since the day he was dropped off he has never kicked, bitten or even layed his ears back at us.  He is so gentle and careful with our 4 year old and 23mo. old daughters.  Maggie picks out his feet and rides him bareback and the both of them love to go on long walks down our road (with me leading Tumbleweed of course).  We've had snowmobiles, turkeys, dogs, 4-wheelers, bicycles and more go by Tumbleweed on the road and he never even flinches.  When we are all out playing in the yard we always let Tumbleweed out to graze and he stays in the yard.  He is an easy keeper, fantastic feet, healthy, friendly, no vices.......he really is the perfect pony.
I visit your website once in a while and can't wait till I can get another horse for me!!  I really loved MKS Bars and my husband wanted Dance Hall Doctor.  He is an avid hunter and couldn't believe that you could actually shoot from a horse!!
I noticed that you had posted that some people have been threaten.  This really upsets me and is well, disgusting.  I have recommended your farm several times and anyone who meets Tumbleweed can't believe how great he is.  Please don't let some people discourage you.  You have a gift.  You are able to pick out tremendous horses/ponies and sell them for a great price.
I have attached some pictures of our beloved pony and you have my permission to put them on your website, if you want to.  I hope that you and your family have a safe, healthy new year.  And thank you again for Tumbleweed, we love him so much.

I have not purchased a horse from you, nor do I know you.  I have your website on my list of favorites, and check it out frequently, and have spoken with you on the phone regarding a few horses you've advertised.  Based on what I have read on your website, what you are willing to disclose about the horses you sell, and the information you provide about your business, I would probably come to you first for our next horse.  I was so sorry to read on your sales horses page that you've been harassed.  Of course I have no idea the details, but I only wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the Godly way you appear to handle such a rotten situation.  Thank you for being a great resource especially for family horse people like us.  I had the sad experience of purchasing a horse that did not work out for us from another stable years ago (handled peaceably:), and I am very nervous now to shop for horses.  In fact, the last horse we got, I just passed the buck due to our bad experience!  I chickened out and asked my parents to find us a safe family horse!  But I am glad you are there, willing to be honest and work problems out in a reasonable way, following God word.  We will be coming to you first for our future needs, because I know I will get an educated, experienced and honest assessment of the horse, which is more than I have found anywhere else.  Good for you, keep on keeping on.
Sun 1/13/08 12:43 PM To: familyequine@hotmail.com Hi Lorraine:

I just wanted to take a minute to drop you a line and let you know how very happy I am with Cody.
It was so refreshing to meet people who truly love what they are doing.  You and your staff were extremely informative, friendly and helpful in every way possible.  I especially want to thank you for freely giving me the phone number of the former owner, so that I could get some details about Cody before I bought him from you.  That really helped to put my mind at ease.
I wanted you to know how much it meant to me when you shared about your own horse that you lost.   It really helped me to accept the loss that I had just experience a few days earlier.  Thank you for your compassion and understanding, it was truly appreciated.
Thank you again for finding Pete Congelosi to bring Cody after your truck broke down in route to my house.  I will say that you are a women of your word and that is a wonderful a tribute and one I won't forget.
You have certainly helped to make my New Year into a Happy One.
Wishing you, your family and staff God's blessings and a year filled with happiness and prosperity.
Regards to all,   Maxine

Bob and Lorraine,
We here at Belleview Farms and Stable believe when buying a horse they should be quality, safe , sane , and for a reasonable price , which you have provided.
When selling a horse you can only tell a buyer to the best of you knowledge, again has stood true with the horses that have come from your nicely run operation.
Thank you for being professional and honest in your dealings and would stand behind you in saying that Family Equine is a reputable place to buy a horse .
Joseph F. Abbott and the Belleview Farms and Stable gang

No worries here.  Bob and Lorraine are honest, knowledgeable horse professionals.  They will sell you, what they tell you the horse is.  If it's not perfect, they'll tell you.  Any known vices will be put out there.  If any unforeseen problems do arise down the road, they will make things right, that's just how they do business.  I've known Bob and Lorraine for 8 years, and they've also done right by me.  Honest horses come, and honest horses go, but honest people are hard to come by. Sincerely, Kathie Wood

Dear Lorraine and Bob, I just wanted to write a note thanking you both for the paint horse I bought named Turnbow and taking my black and white paint horse Max in on trade. We talked a lot about "square pegs and round holes" and horses matching up with the right people for their needs. I was looking for a good, sound horse for trail riding that would be calm and quiet and that I could ride alone. I am very pleased with Turnbow and he has worked out great. I'm sorry Max has taken more time to sell but I am confident you will find the right home for him. It was a pleasure meeting you both and I will recommend you both to other equestrians looking for the right horse and know you will assist them in finding a good match also. Thank you, Suzy

Bob & Lorriane You sold Happy to one of our boarders way back when she was a 3 year old. She's now turning 8 and doing great around here. She's everything you said she is. Quiet, sane, and a good beginners horse. We use her for lessons at our barn and have improved her training as well. She now jumps and goes to English shows, and takes little kids around. When Robert brought her here, jumped on her back with a lead rope and halter and rode her to the barn, I was very impressed. I thought he was nuts, but as we have had her now for many years we can still do that. We have recommended your place several times to find a nice family horse. You have always seemed very honest with what horses you have and the problems if there are any. Here's a picture of her now. All grown up. Thanks so much! Hope to see you in the future.
